Here at Gan Shelanu Daycare, we offer a learning program that is consistent with the Ministry of Education policies, pedagogy, and curriculum. Some of the Ministry documents we reference in our program include the following:
How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, Ontario Early Years Framework, Think Feel Act: Lessons from Research About Young Children, Early Learning for Every Child Today.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of service to children and their parents. We believe that is it imperative to provide an environment that is happy, relaxed, positive and safe for all the children. We constantly enforce, value and practice strong communication and positive self-image.
Our belief is that children learn best through hands-on experiences and through individual and group play that is assisted by the teacher.
Children need to be in an environment that is educational and stimulating to their sense. This environment is consistently adapting and changing to suit children’s developmental well-being and overall needs.
Our daycare is determined to provide the best service to the children, their parents, and our community. We highly encourage the growth and development of the children every day while instilling a feeling of self-esteem, independence, and enjoyment.
We find that it is extremely important to involve parents in our program. We strongly encourage for the parents to speak to all of our staff to stay involved in the children’s daily schedule and development.
We urge for parents to communicate with our staff to give feedback and comments so that we can keep everyone happy and content. Parents can communicate with us via email, telephone or a text messaging app that is exclusive to our daycare only. We have recently installed a state-of-the-art camera system in each classroom that allows parents to see their children at any time of the day.
